Description
Austin, TX- Consolidated Fund of Texas $500 Dec. 2, 1840 Cr. CF19 Medlar UNL PCGS Banknote Choice VF 35.The majority of the characteristic which this Consolidated Fund of Texas $500 note bears match with the Cr. CF19 variation, including a floral border and a handwritten "Austin" over a printed "Houston." Unlike the description of this variety in Shull's 2007 catalog, however, "his" has been penned before "legal" on line seven of the text instead of "their." A contemporary annotation, which is an interest statement at left on the face, and small edge splits have been mentioned by PCGS Banknote. The usual cut cancellations are present as well.
