Austin, TX- Consolidated Fund of Texas $500 Dec. 9, 1839 Cr. CF18A Medlar UNL PCGS Banknote Extremely Fine 40.Our current offering does not exactly match Cr. CF17, though it undoubtedly possesses certain diagnostics of it. The borders are identical, and both variations have a printed "Houston" crossed out by a penned "Austin." This piece, however, is unlisted in both the Shull and Medlar references due to the word "his" being printed along with the rest of the design before "heirs" and "legal." We have not offered any representatives of this elusive number previously. In addition to a cut cancel, this piece has internal tears, largely confined to the area around the cancellation.
