Georgia 1776 $4 PMG About Uncirculated 50.
The 1776 emission was quite elaborate, with many varieties of border designs and seal colors present. This $4 is printed in black and red with a light blue seal depicting a Liberty Cap on a pole, caduceus, and cornucopia with the motto LIBERTAS CARIOR AURO (Freedom is more precious than gold). The note is printed on bright paper with bold design elements a decent margins. The signatures of George Houstoun, Peter Bard, William Gibbons, William Ewen, and William O'Bryen are dark and legible. This note is currently the highest graded example in the PMG Population Report
