Postally Cancelled First Day of Issue, July 4, 1976, and December 25, 1976 Fr. 1935-A*; C*, D*; F*; G*; H*; K* $2 1976 Federal Reserve Star Notes. PCGS Graded.
Each star note in this lot has three postal cancellations for each of the above 1976 dates at Yonkers, New York except for the H* and it has the postal cancellation dates in 1976 for July 4, November 25, and December 25. State flag and thematic stamps were mostly used for the cancellations. A listing of post offices across the nation that were open for currency cancellation on July 4, 1976 are listed in "Those Incredible B$2FDC B$2J4Cs!" by Andrew J. Vero. Yonkers is not listed, however, this listing is known to be incomplete. All grades are in the New 62 to Very Choice New 64 range. (Total: 7 notes)
