Description
Atlanta, GA- Bank of Fulton $100 18__ as G18a Proprietary Proof PMG Uncirculated 62.This is a sister denomination to the previous $50 Proprietary Proof in this auction. Originally designed by Wellstood, Hay, & Whiting, the note features an allegorical vignette of a sailor, Ceres, and a mechanic flanked by a portrait of a young girl taken from life at lower left and another vignette of Ceres in a large C at lower right. Like the $50, it has a pink overall tint and pink and white numerical protector. PMG mentions a tear which is quite difficult to locate. This Proprietary Proof was printed using the original plates by ABNCo during the 20th century for various corporate projects and programs. The exact number printed is unknown.
