Description

T36 $5 1861 PF-4 Cr. 278 PMG About Uncirculated 53.
The T36 in this lot was issued by the Confederacy from March 31, 1862, through January 3, 1863. It replaced the short-lived T35 $5. Ceres is showcased at center with a caduceus, and at left is a sailor leaning on a capstan. After consulting Raphael Thian's Register of the Confederate Debt, as well as reviewing certain diagnostics on the note, it can be determined that this piece is genuine.
