Description

Austin, TX- Travis County 50¢ Dec. 1862 Remainder Medlar 158 PMG Extremely Fine 40.
From a later series, this remainder is dated December, 1862 and is printed on brown paper with decorative panels across both ends containing text indicating that it was receivable for all county dues. It was redeemable in Confederate or state currency when presented in sums of $5. This is the first time we have offered this design from this issuer in one of our public auctions. Very rare and quite possibly unique or nearly so.
