Chattanooga, TN- Alabama & Chattanooga Rail Road Company 33-1/3¢ ND Very Fine.John C. Stanton cobbled together two failed railroads and turned them into the Alabama & Chattanooga Rail Road via complex financial maneuvering after the war. The railroad defaulted in 1871 and was declared bankrupt shortly after. This odd denomination ticket was used for employee meals and is one of the few notes available with this denomination. Previously mounted.
