(Unknown Location), MS- State of Mississippi $100 186_ Cr. 49A Remainder PMG Choice Extremely Fine 45.Although no $100s are known in issued form, the issuing location would have probably been Macon, MS as Jackson had fallen to Union forces in July, 1863, well before these notes are believed to have been printed. Interestingly the vignette selected for this denomination was the harbor of Wilmington, NC. From an enigmatic series that needs more research in order to answer a lot of unanswered questions. The PMG holder is comment-free.
