The signer of these bonds, Louisiana State Treasurer E(dward) A. Burke ran off to Honduras with the proceeds of this lottery estimated at anywhere from $64,000 to $2 million. The grand jury in Louisiana handed down 19 indictments for failure to destroy redeemed state bonds and issuing additional "baby bonds" without authorization. Due to no extradition treaty with Honduras, Burke decided to remain there. These uncut strip of fours exhibit aging along the edges. Each "Baby Bond" has two POCs. (Total: 2 notes)
