Description

Maryland March 1, 1770 $1/6 PCGS Banknote Choice XF 45 Details.
Signed by John Clapham and Robert Couden. Printed by A.C. and F. Green. A superbly printed example of this challenging fractional denomination that is the second-highest graded note we have seen. It has a truly complete left indent which is something that is rarely ever found. The Newman note graded PCGS Apparent AU 55 but could not compare with the eye appeal wielded by this beauty. PCGS Banknote cites "Small edge repair, masking." A fascinating ex: Ford colonial that will no doubt prove the old adage "Eye appeal sells Colonials."
