Top Pop Dallas Series 1950C $5 FRN
Fr. 1964-K $5 1950C Federal Reserve Note. PMG Superb Gem Unc 67
EPQ.Serial number K02019559B is Top Pop all by itself for this Friedberg number of the ten examples examined by PMG. In fact, ten is the fewest pieces examined for all $5 1950C FRNs by PMG except for the $5 1950C Dallas star with nine being inspected. We find the face and back centering is very close to perfect within balanced margins and so is the face to back registration. Further examination of the back finds that the embossing is bold for both serial numbers, all four "11" district indicators, and the Treasury Seal. This lovely example was purchased by our consignor for strong money in August 1984 and our estimate may prove to be very conservative.
