$1000 U.S. Treasury Bearer Bond. This is a 7 5/8% U.S. Treasury Bearer Bond of 2002-2007. The issue date of the bond was February 15, 1977, and the bond paid coupons at the rate of $38.13 every six months. Although the lower denomination increases the chances of unredeemed bonds surviving, this $1000 denomination is undoubtedly rare in collectors' hands. The bond was called in 2002, therefore the coupons have no remaining value other than as collectibles, but the bond is redeemable at its thousand-dollar face.Auction Info
