New York, NY- J.B. Westbrook & Co. Jewelers Ad Note circa 1870s
This quaint and appealing green advertising note for 50¢ off a timepiece mimics faithfully a First Issue 50¢ Postage Currency Note on the back even down to where "JBW&CO." monogram is used instead of the "ABC" monogram. The face also looks good enough to pass for a Postage Currency Note. The pocket watch vignette adds to the attractiveness. The upper two corners show aging. Very Fine.
