Spain Banco de Espana 1000 Pesetas 20.5.1938 Pick 115a PMG Choice Uncirculated 64.The highest denomination from the Nationalist 1938 Burgos issue is represented in this lot. The Second Spanish Republic lost the Spanish Civil War in 1939, allowing Franco to move his seat of power to Madrid. Therefore, issues that followed this one, reverted back to Madrid as the place of issuance. The 1938 series circulated very briefly. Difficult in top tier grade.
