Syria Banque de Syrie et du Liban 50 Livres 1.9.1939 Pick 44s Specimen PMG About Uncirculated 53.Only the 5 Livres denomination is listed with price in Uncirculated in the Standard Catalog of World Paper Money. This is misleading, as none of the denominations are found in EF or higher grades with any regularity. This Specimen is a fresh look at the colors and design as intended by the engravers of Bradbury, Wilkinson, and Co. Though this piece likely missed the EPQ designation due to two staple holes, PMG was not short on praise for this note, adding, "Great Embossing & Color" to the back of the holder. Red Specimen overprints and seven POCs are present.
