At the time of cataloging, this Clegg-signature 1 Pound is tied for the finest grade in the PMG Population Report for notes dated 1930 and 1931. In fact, this note is tied for the finest grade of any South African 1 Pound issued, across the entire date run from the 1860s until 1959. Simply outstanding and very rare in this exceptional grade.
