Description
Philippines Bank of the Philippine Islands 100 Pesos 1.1.1912 Pick 11b PMG Very Fine 25.Garcia and Sendres signatures are seen on this variety of which only 5,000 notes were issued. This denomination was equivalent to 50 USD at the time, which was an enormous sum of money in colonial Philippines. Most of the large denomination paper notes were used until such time they would be broken down into smaller notes or exchanged for silver coinage. This example is moderately circulated with some repairs to the central folds. Rare in any grade and always desirable.
