Description

German Southwest Africa Kassenschein 100 Mark 8.8.1914 Pick 5a PMG Choice About Unc 58.
German rule in Southwest Africa lasted approximately 30 years. Notes from this era are rarely seen today. This 100 Mark was the highest denomination of the 1914 series, which was issued shortly before Germany was stripped of its colonies after World War I. We have offered this denomination only once previously, and this example is far superior. At the time of cataloging, this example holds the finest grade in the PMG Population Report and is the only one grading better than Very Fine.
