The insurance company quickly morphed into a bank of issue after being chartered by the state of Ohio in 1838. By 1839 it had been branded as an illegal note issuer by the State Banking Commissioners and failed in November, 1839. This example grades Fine with no repairs or meaningful condition distractions. A few rust specks on the back.
