Netherlands State Note 10 Gulden 1.9.1888 Pick 1 PL27.g1 AV23.6 PMG Choice Very Fine 35.
A large format, high grade rarity. At the time of cataloging, this is the single finest graded 10 Gulden across all dates from 1878 to 1894 graded in the PMG Population Report. The seldom-seen signature of Godin de Beaufort is seen at front right. Karel Antoine Godin de Beaufort, grandfather of the famous Formula 1 driver, was named finance minister in 1888. Terrific eye appeal is easily seen through the third party holder. A design and denomination not often encountered, especially in any good collector grade.
