Highest denomination of the "Red Robin" series of 1814 to 1859. Any extant denomination of this series is a prize, with this 1000 Gulden being virtually unseen in private hands. This is the third variety of the type, with values printed instead of handwritten. Fully issued with manuscript signatures, serial numbers, and date. Cancelled and previously mounted. All details are bright and clear. At the time of cataloging, this is the first and only example graded in the PMG Population Report. The rarity of this banknote cannot be overstated. One of the absolute key notes of The Toele Collection and one of the rarest and most impressive of all Dutch banknotes extant. Worthy of serious consideration. Exceptional in all respects.
