An elusive banknote from the 1855 series. This was the initial denomination of the series, with a mere 6,000 notes issued. A typical lengthy notation is seen on the back, which was customary for notes of this series. Minor rust is mentioned for accuracy. The manuscript writing and signatures on the front are a bit faint, but still legible. A very rare issued banknote for the Caribbean region. Do not be misled by the five issued banknotes from this series offered in The Toele Collection. These are extraordinarily rare banknotes, and we have not offered any in the past and may not see them again in the future. Not to be missed.
