Switzerland National Bank 1000 Franken 1.1.1950 Pick 44s Specimen PMG Choice Uncirculated 63.
High denomination Swiss banknotes appeal to collectors worldwide due to their size and high value. This incredible banknote was the highest denomination of an unissued series, designed and printed during World War II as a backup reserve currency. Ultimately none were issued and virtually all notes were destroyed. This Specimen represents the ill-fated 10000 Francs. At the time of cataloging, this is the first and only example graded in the PMG Population Report. Lightened stains are mentioned for accuracy. A beautiful and artistic note and a Swiss type missing from virtually all relevant collections.
