Description

Beautiful Richmond 1934 $5,000 FRN

Fr. 2221-E $5,000 1934 Federal Reserve Note. PCGS Banknote Choice Unc 64 PPQ.
Serial number E00000166A in this lot increases the Track & Price population figure to a measly 15 for this Friedberg number. This is the sole finest example of Fr. 2221-E graded by PCGS Banknote. A look at the PMG Population Report tells us that they have graded none equal and only one example higher and that is a 65 EPQ piece. Our current well preserved Richmond offering possesses natural paper wave, ideal color including the light green seal, and serial number embossing. We had a PMG 63 Fr. 2221-E bring $240,000 in May 2025. Therefore tonight's beautiful, higher graded note should easily eclipse that previous figure.

Estimate: $300,000 - up.
