China Ta Ch'ing Government Bank, Shansi 100 Taels 1910 Pick A83H S/M#T10 Remainder PMG About Uncirculated 55.
This gigantic remainder represents a 100 Taels banknote from the famed Ta Ch'ing Government Bank, Shansi Branch. A delightful 668 serial number is seen on this example, which also features an extra wide side margin. A paper pull and annotation are mentioned for accuracy. At the time of cataloging, there are only six examples of this vertical type note present in the PMG Population Report. We have offered this type only once previously. The Taels series of 1910-1911 were the final notes from this Qing Dynasty issuer. Few have survived to be collected today and this note should not be overlooked.
