First variety for this long-running and popular Commonwealth issue. Waterlow & Sons printed only 50,000 notes for this 1931 date, across prefixes A through E, with 10,000 notes per prefix. At the time of writing, this is the second finest of only three examples graded in the PMG Population Report. Pinholes are mentioned for accuracy. Significantly scarcer than subsequent dates and signature combinations for the type. Not to be missed as the combination of date and grade is utterly impressive. Only the second we example we have offered, with this offering being far superior.
