Description
Possibly Unique 1928B $1 Silver Certificate Presentation Sheet
Fr. 1602 $1 1928B Silver Certificates. Uncut Sheet of Twelve.
PMG Choice Uncirculated 64.Only a meager three uncut sheets for Series 1928B $1 Silvers were issued by the BEP. Only two of those are known today, but the other example does not exist in its original state, as the top half has been cut into two vertical strips of three and the bottom half is a block of six. That leaves only this charming uncut sheet in its original state and comment free third party holder for the collectors of today to compete for. The uncut sheet we present tonight resided with its original owner and his family from 1932 to 2011. The original owner was Assistant Secretary of the Treasury James H. Douglas. He served in that capacity from 1932-33. Douglas received this uncut sheet from his superior, Secretary of the Treasury Ogden L. Mills, whose printed signature is found on these $1 Silvers. This trophy sheet is a must have for the serious small size collector, and deserving to be placed in the finest of collections.
