Fr. 226 $1 1899 Silver Certificate Uncut Sheet of Four PCGS Banknote Very Fine 20 Details.This uncut sheet of four represents both the very first number and block for Black Eagles. In addition, the blue ink utilized on the third printing for the Fr. 226 and Fr. 226a variations was applied in a lighter shade than on later Black Eagle numbers. While this representative has not retained its selvage and displays stains as well as edge and internal damage, it is an elusive piece. We have only auctioned three uncut sheets of four of this number previously, with this sheet marking the fourth offering.
