Fr. 311 $20 1880 Silver Certificate PMG Choice Very Fine
35.An attractive Decatur $20 Silver that is making its first public appearance since a 2006 auction. It is a beautiful, well margined note with excellent color and the appearance of an even higher grade. In fact, when it last crossed the auction block, it was called a full XF by an off-brand grading service. More importantly, it has not endured any repairs or other "improvements" that many of its counterparts have. We last offered this quality note in our 2001 Central States auction, and it is as pretty now as it was over 20 years ago. In last year's Long Beach auction, we sold an identically graded note for $12,600.
