Fr. 1039a $50 1914 Federal Reserve Note PMG Choice Uncirculated
64.With over 600 pieces recorded in the Track & Price census, one would think there exists a decent amount of Uncirculated examples of this Friedberg. However, that is exactly the opposite of these notes. PMG and PCGS combined have only graded a meager 5 Uncirculated examples of Fr. 1039a. In fact, PMG has only graded 7 total Uncirculated Cleveland 1914 $50s, including all varieties, both red and blue seal. The last time we offered an Uncirculated example was during our 2014 ANA Signature Auction, when a PMG 64 EPQ fetched nearly $9,000.
