Scarce New York Demand Note
Fr. 1 $5 1861 Demand Note PCGS Apparent Very Fine 25.The Demand Note featured in this lot possesses great eye appeal for the grade and is an excellent representative of the original Greenback type note. In May 2024, we auctioned a PMG VF 20 with restoration for $2,820. This piece could very well exceed that figure. PCGS mentions the presence of edge splits, tears, minor damage, and hinge repairs.
