Description

Port Norris, NJ - $10 1929 Ty. 1 The First National Bank Ch. # 10036 PMG Choice Very Fine 35 EPQ.
A scarce south Jersey bank that is even tougher to locate in small size rather than large, undoubtedly due to the fact that the receiver arrived to shut the doors on Halloween in 1933. While this offering is one of six 1929 Series examples reported, all of the other known five small size are in tight hands, as only one of those notes has crossed the public auction block in the past 20 years. This piece is a bright and original $10 with some light folds, and is easily the finest of the half dozen notes extant.
