Aiken, SC - $10 1902 Plain Back Fr. 626 The First National Bank Ch. # (S)9650 PMG Very Fine 20.Large notes only were issued from this scarce South Carolina bank that was in business from 1910 until its liquidation in 1924. At that time, it was absorbed by a local state-chartered institution, the Gaston Bank and Trust Company which, ironically, was placed into receivership in 1925. Just ten notes comprise the census from this scarce charter including this $10 which is being publicly offered for the first time. It is a bright mid-grade piece with bold ink colors and legible stamped signatures.
