Clarion, IA - $100 1929 Ty. 1 The First NB Ch. # 3796High denominations only from this bank, both in large size and small. This example is easily the nicest we've seen or heard of, having been graded Gem Uncirculated when it first sold in 1998 (not by us) and again having been graded Choice Uncirculated (by a different company...again not us) when it was obtained by our consignor in 2004. It is now happily ensconced in a PCGS Choice About New 58PPQ holder, although the why is another mystery, as we saw it as fully uncirculated before it entered its current prison. Whatever its technical grade, it is a real beauty which combines full originality with great eye appeal.
