Saltville, VA - $10 1929 Ty. 2 The First National Bank Ch. # 11265 PMG Very Fine 20.A scarce note from the only bank in this small western Virginia locale. Two battles were fought near this community during the Civil War, as the destruction of the salt works was an important strategic Union objective. This moderately circulated $10 is a new addition to the fifteen small size reported and only the fourth Type 2 example.
