Excessively Rare Oklahoma State $20 Red Seal

Porter, OK - $20 1902 Red Seal Fr. 641 The First National Bank Ch. # (W)7615 PMG Choice Fine 15.
This great Oklahoma rarity comes from a tough Sooner State bank and is not only one of just four large size reported from this Wagoner County charter, but also one of just six state-issue $20 Red Seals in the census for all banks in the state. While over 130 Red Seals of all denominations are listed in the National Currency Foundation census for Oklahoma, almost all of them represent Territorial notes, as state-issue Red Seals for Oklahoma were only released between November 1907 until the end of the Red Seal era in mid-1908. This offering displays just even wear and excellent color for the grade. It is a great note for either the Oklahoma or Red Seal specialist.
