Beautiful High Point, NC 1882 $5 Brown Back
High Point, NC - $5 1882 Brown Back Fr. 469 The National Bank of
High Point Ch. # 3490 PMG Extremely Fine 40.This lovely note comes from a very scarce High Point bank which issued Brown Backs and Red Seals only before liquidating in 1907. Fewer than a dozen notes are known, spread over two titles with this pretty $5 Brown Back representing the more "common" first title. PMG has added a comment about margin tears, but they appear to be a couple tiny splits in the wide top margin which do not detract at all from the overall appearance of this boldly printed, well signed note.
