Salle Street National Bank Ch. # (M)9750 PMG Very Fine 25.A new to the census rarity which is offered here to collectors for the first time. It is a serial number 1 example which is the first number 1 note to be reported from this Chicago neighborhood bank that was only in business from 1910 to 1912. In addition, PMG states on the holder that this is a replacement note, as there was apparently a printing error on the first sheet. This pen signed example retains nice color for the grade, but does have a large slit which is seen at right. Nonetheless, it is a number 1 note on a short-lived bank that has just seven pieces reported.
