Northport, NY - $10 1929 Ty. 1 The First National Bank & Trust
Company Ch. # 5936 PMG Very Fine 30.This is certainly one of the rarest of Long Island's many banks in small size as this piece is the only Series 1929 note known from this institution, which was Northport's sole issuer. Maintaining a circulation of a mere $12,500 back when eastern Long Island was primarily a rural area, it is not surprising that this charter has proven to be exceedingly rare. A nicely margined and evenly circulated note, this $10 should be quite sought after by the many Long Island collectors this evening.
