Westport, NY - $5 1902 Date Back Fr. 592 The Lake Champlain National Bank Ch. # (E)9405 PMG Choice Extremely Fine 45 EPQ.A truly scarce New York note which displays one of the state's most evocative titles. This institution limped along for years with one of the smallest circulations in the state, and, at its last report in 1935, had a miniscule $410 outstanding in large notes. Surprisingly, five large notes are known, including this piece from the Boyce holdings. Not surprisingly, since this note is part of Dick Boyce's collection, it is by far the finest of any of the reported examples. Expect this well margined pen signed beauty to entice energetic bidding.
