50.This lovely Serial Number 1 note from the only bank to operate in this western New York community traces its pedigree back to Lot 1728 in Barney Bluestone's June 1945 auction of the legendary Albert Grinnell collection. It is a bright, well printed note that has sustained just some light handling. Opening in 1921, the Citizens National survived the note-issuing period and operated until it was absorbed by the Manufacturers and Traders Trust Company of Buffalo in 1945.
