Very Rare Dexter, Maine Note
Dexter, ME - $20 1882 Date Back Fr. 552 The First National Bank
Ch. # (N)2259 PMG Choice Extremely Fine 45 EPQ.This is a lovely note from a very rare Penobscot County bank that issued First and Second Charter notes only before liquidating in 1911. It is one of only four or five notes reported from this charter (one may be a duplicate in the National Currency Foundation census) and the only Second Charter example. Easily the finest of the known survivors, this $20 is a real pen-signed beauty with wonderful color and just a couple of light folds.
