Camden, ME - $10 1902 Date Back Fr. 616 The Megunticook National Bank Ch. # (N)6231 PMG Very Fine 25.This note comes from by far the scarcer of the two issuing banks in Camden, a charter that was only in business from 1902 until 1921. Just four examples make up the entire census - a pair of Red Seals which have long been held in major collections and which have never been publicly offered, a rust stained Plain Back which we auctioned a dozen years ago for over $2,500, and this piece which is currently the only Date Back known. It is a bright mid-grade $10 with great color and bold purple stamped signatures.
