Denton, MD - $20 1882 Value Back Fr. 581 The Peoples National
Bank Ch. # (E)5122 PCGS Banknote Very Fine 25.This is one of only around a dozen and a half $20 Value Backs reported for all Maryland banks and the only such piece in the census from this rare Denton charter. Only in business from 1898 until 1919, this offering is also one of only six pieces overall in the census and the only Value Back reported. It is a bright and attractive note with excellent color for the grade and very bold pen signatures.
