Portland, ME - $2 1875 Fr. 392 The Cumberland National Bank Ch. # 1511 PMG Very Fine 20.Large notes only were issued from this scarcer Portland bank that closed in 1912. This attractive example is one of just seven pieces reported overall and the only Lazy Deuce in the census from here. It is nicely margined for a New England First Charter note and exhibits solid paper, pleasing color, and clear pen signatures.
