New Castle, ME - $20 1882 Brown Back Fr. 494 The New Castle National Bank Ch. # 953 PMG Choice Fine 15.This extremely rare note is one of just three pieces reported from its first location in New Castle, before it moved to Damariscotta in 1908. It does have a tape repair, but it faces up nicely for the grade with attractive color and legible pen signatures.
