Sayville, NY - $10 1882 Brown Back Fr. 490 The Oystermen's National Bank Ch. # 5186 PMG Very Fine 25.This is one of only three $10 Brown Backs reported from this avidly collected Long Island bank, and boasts one of the snazziest occupational titles found on any bank in any state, harking back to the days when this small Suffolk County community was a major source of supply for the entire northeast for these tasty mollusks. It is a nicely margined piece with excellent color and bold pen signatures.
