La Grange, GA - $20 1929 Ty. 2 The La Grange National Bank Ch. # 7762 PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ.Serial number A000006. This Troup County institution certainly is not scarce, with roughly 50 small notes listed. According to the National Bank Note census, the only Uncirculated examples are part of a trio of Type 2 sheets. So far as your cataloger is aware, the $5 and $10 sheets remain intact since they have not appeared at auction. Of the triumvirate of Serial #1-6 sheets, only the $20 sheet has been cut up. The serial #1 note grades AU 50 and the serial number #3 note is just listed as "Uncirculated." It is entirely possible that tonight's near-Gem offering is the finest known and will no doubt be highly sought after by the state's avid collectors.
