Rare Citizens NB of San Francisco Red Seal
San Francisco, CA - $10 1902 Red Seal Fr. 613 The Citizens
National Bank Ch. # (P)7713 PMG Very Fine 20.This great California rarity is from San Francisco's shortest-lived National Bank, a charter that was only in business from April of 1905 until its liquidation in June of 1907. Only Red Seals were issued, and of that small number, a mere four survivors have been recorded. This offering is one of that quartet and is the first note from this charter to cross the auction block in over eight years. While it does have some rust damage in its top margin, this $10 retains pleasing color and dark stamped signatures.
